Selling on Purzle

Last updated 28 October 2026

These are the main rules for businesses that sell on Purzle, on the marketplace, in their own Purzle shop, or both. It's a plain-language summary. The full vendor agreement is a contract between Purzle and each business: you read it and sign it in the vendor app when you apply, and you can read it again any time under Settings. Where this page and the agreement differ, the agreement applies.

Joining Purzle

  • Who can sellAny business Purzle can verify and deal with directly. Sign in to the vendor app with your email or Google, tell us about your business and apply.
  • What we needAccurate business details, including a working phone number and address; a valid government ID for the owner; any documents we ask for, such as CAC registration; and the signed vendor agreement.
  • ApprovalPurzle reviews every application and may approve or decline it, or ask for more. Your shop and listings appear only once you're approved.
  • Keeping it currentKeep your details, documents and payout account up to date, and tell us within 7 days if the business changes owner or registration.
  • Your teamYou can invite people to help run the business, each with their own role. You're responsible for what they do with that access.

Products and listings

  • Describe every product and service accurately: price, condition, sizes, materials, delivery times and any limits. Photos must show the real item.
  • Prices are in naira and include any tax you have to charge.
  • Only list things you have the right to sell. Illegal, counterfeit, stolen or unsafe items, weapons, drugs and prescription medicines are never allowed. Alcohol, tobacco, adult products, financial products, gift cards and cryptocurrency need Purzle's written approval.
  • Marketplace listings are reviewed before they appear. Purzle may hide or remove a listing that breaks the rules and will tell you why.
  • Keep stock accurate. If you can't fulfil an order, cancel it promptly so the customer is refunded.

Orders, delivery and bookings

  • Send each order, or have it ready for pickup, within the time on your listing or delivery option, and update the order in the vendor app as you go.
  • The item is your responsibility until the customer, or their courier, receives it.
  • Honour every confirmed booking. If you must cancel one, do it in the vendor app as early as you can; the customer gets a full refund.
  • Made-to-measure items must match what the customer asked for. If anything is unclear, ask them through Purzle before you make it.
  • Answer customers' messages about orders within 2 business days.

Payments and fees

  • Online payments go through Paystack or Monnify. The payment is split at checkout: your share goes to your verified bank account on the provider's schedule, and Purzle's fees go to Purzle. Purzle doesn't hold your money.
  • In your own shop you can also accept bank transfer, cash on delivery or payment at pickup. The customer pays you directly, and you confirm it in the vendor app.
  • Fees. Purzle takes a commission on marketplace orders and may charge a fee on shop orders. Your rates are in your dashboard, and we give at least 14 days' notice before raising them. Provider fees are shared in proportion to each side's share of the payment.
  • What you owe Purzle, such as a refund you didn't pay back in time or fees on offline shop payments, is shown in your dashboard. It's recovered from part of your next online payments (marketplace and shop), or you can pay it from the dashboard. Unpaid amounts can pause your marketplace selling.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

Marketplace orders follow Purzle's order policy, which shoppers see when they buy. In your own shop you set these rules within the options Purzle allows.

  • Customers can ask for a return within 7 days of delivery. Items that are faulty, wrong, not as described or incomplete can always be returned, and you pay the return postage for those.
  • Customers can cancel a booked service up to 24 hours before it starts.
  • Answer return requests within 3 days. If you don't, or the customer asks for help, Purzle support decides.
  • A sent order counts as delivered after 14 days, unless the customer reports a problem.
  • For online payments, you pay your share of the refund back to Purzle within 3 business days, by card or bank transfer from the vendor app, and Purzle refunds the customer. If it's late, Purzle refunds the customer anyway and adds a late charge of 5% (₦500 to ₦10,000); you can dispute a refund before it's due. You refund payments customers made to you directly, within 3 business days, and mark them done in the vendor app.

Customers, conduct and data

  • Don't ask marketplace customers to buy or pay outside Purzle.
  • Don't write, buy or reward reviews of your own products or a competitor's.
  • Use customers' details only to fulfil and look after their order. Don't market to them unless they've agreed, and never sell or share their details. Keep them safe, as the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 requires, and tell Purzle within 48 hours if they're lost or misused.
  • Follow the laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection and tax law, and hold any licences your products need.

Your content

You own your names, logos, photos and descriptions. You let Purzle show them to run and promote Purzle, your shop and your products, including on search engines and social media.

Ending or pausing

  • You can close your account with 14 days' notice. Orders already placed must still be fulfilled or refunded.
  • Purzle can end the agreement with 14 days' notice, and can suspend or close an account straight away for a serious or repeated breach, suspected fraud, when a regulator or payment provider requires it, or when customers or Purzle are at risk.
  • While an account is suspended, you can still finish the orders customers have paid for.

Changes and questions

Purzle tells you in the vendor app and by email at least 14 days before a new version of the agreement takes effect. Some versions need signing again to keep selling.
