Guides for selling on Purzle, from your first listing to growing your business.

Questions vendors ask

Getting started

How do I start selling on Purzle?

Sign in to the vendor app with your email (we send you a code) or with Google, and tell us about your business. Then add the owner's ID and any documents we ask for, and sign the vendor agreement. Purzle reviews your application and emails you when it's decided.

How long does approval take?

We review applications as soon as everything is in, and email you when your business is approved or if we need anything else. You can follow each step on the vendor app's onboarding page.

What documents do I need?

A valid government ID for the business owner, as a PDF or a photo (JPEG, PNG or WebP) up to 10 MB, and any documents we ask for, such as your CAC registration. Make sure they're clear and readable.

Does it cost anything to join?

No. Applying and setting up your shop are free. Purzle earns a commission on marketplace sales and may charge a fee on shop orders; your rates are shown in your dashboard, and we give at least 14 days' notice before raising them.

Payments and fees

When and how do I get paid?

Online payments are split at checkout by Paystack or Monnify, and your share goes to your verified bank account on the provider's schedule, sometimes before the order is delivered. Purzle doesn't hold your money. In your own shop, customers can also pay you directly by transfer, cash on delivery or at pickup.

What happens when a customer is refunded?

Purzle refunds online payments to the customer. Because your share was already paid to you, it's added to what you owe Purzle, shown under Money, and recovered from part of your next marketplace payments. Payments customers made to you directly, you refund yourself and mark as done.

Products

What can I sell on Purzle?

Most legal products and services. Illegal, counterfeit, stolen or unsafe items, weapons, drugs and prescription medicines are never allowed; alcohol, tobacco, adult products, financial products, gift cards and cryptocurrency need Purzle's written approval. The full list is in the vendor agreement.

Are my products reviewed?

Products you put on the marketplace are reviewed before they appear there. Your own shop shows them once your business is approved and the shop is published.

Orders and returns

How do I handle orders?

New orders appear in the vendor app and you're notified straight away. Send each order, or have it ready for pickup, within the time on your delivery option, and update it as you go. Answer customers' messages within 2 business days.

What if a customer wants to return something?

Marketplace returns follow Purzle's order policy; in your shop, the rules you set. Answer the request within 3 days. If you don't, or the customer asks for help, Purzle support decides.

Insights

What can I see about how my business is doing?

Insights shows your sales for any period against the one before, your best sellers, customers, how fast you dispatch and answer, and bookings. Owners and admins also get a short email every Monday with last week's sales.

Your account

How do I sign in? There's no password.

Enter your email and we send you a 6-digit code, or sign in with Google. There are no passwords to forget or steal. You stay signed in to the vendor app for up to 24 hours.

How do I keep my account safe?

Keep your email account secure, because that's where your codes go, and never share a code with anyone, including people who say they're from Purzle. Give each person on your team their own access under Team instead of sharing yours.
